Paula Montgomery, Executive Vice President of Administrative Affairs and General Counsel, came from a small town in Central Wisconsin with a population of 389. Now, she interacts with patients and staff from all over the world thanks to her role at Gillette. After graduating from law school, Paula was in private practice where she enjoyed working with doctors and nurses defending medical malpractice claims. After leaving private practice and working as a corporate attorney, she began to have an interest in the business and strategy side of things. That’s when an email landed in her inbox about a new legal counsel position at Gillette. It was the perfect fit, combining her passion for working with medical professionals with an in-house counsel role.
“I truly believe that Gillette attracts a certain kind of individual. That “special something” comes through in the day-to-day dedication to our mission and serving the patients and families that come through Gillette’s doors. The expertise, teamwork, and passion of the Gillette Children’s team is like nothing I’ve ever experienced in my professional career. And our patients are incredible. The resilience and tenacity they have is amazing,” she said, when asked what she appreciates most about the organization.
