Stephen England, MD has been treating some of the most complex patients at Gillette Children’s for more than 30 years. A pediatric orthopedic surgeon, caring for others is in his DNA. His father and brother are physicians as well.
“It’s part of family life. Everyone has their own focus or forte, and mine is pediatric orthopedics. It’s not just what I do, but who I am.”
Stephen says it’s important to mark milestones such this. It’s a way to recognize collective achievements. “It makes you think of the changes that we’ve seen in 125 years, and Gillette is still here,” says Stephen. “We’ve been here for for generations because it’s necessary. I think in 125 years from now, we’ll still be here, because people will still need us.”
