Gillette Children’s pediatric neurologist, Tim Feyma, MD, is devoted to improving the lives of children diagnosed with neurological conditions such as epilepsy, complex movement disorders, cerebral palsy, and Rett Syndrome. Feyma, along with Gillette complex care pediatrician, Art Beisang, MD, is the co-director of the Gillette Children’s Rett Syndrome Center of Excellence.
“My mother was a special education teacher. I grew up listening to her stories about her students. My mother worked to meet each student’s individual educational needs and solved problems to maximize her student’s life engagement and achievement.
The Latin root of the word “doctor” means “teacher.” As my mother did in her career, my goal as a doctor is to help families and to assist them in being the best advocates for their loved ones who have neurological conditions. My main goal is the help a family understand the why and how of what we do together to help a loved one.”
